When launching a new website, security is often overlooked in favor of design and user experience. While it’s essential for a site to be visually appealing, intuitive, and engaging, it’s equally important to ensure it’s secure.

In many projects, security is seen as an obstacle—something that slows down the creative momentum of designers and developers. Developers often find themselves focused on writing JavaScript and fine-tuning visual effects, aiming for pixel-perfect results. As a result, crucial security checks are sometimes deprioritized or ignored altogether.

Concerns about the absence of security testing are often dismissed with comparisons to well-known websites that don’t implement those checks. Even during functionality testing, the emphasis tends to shift toward aesthetic feedback—such as whether the banner transitions are smooth enough or if the “Sign Up” button stands out—leaving little time for testing backend performance or security protocols.
